Photo loss due to formatting of the Hard Drive
A common instance of this is when your hard drive is infected with a fatal virus. While you can use an adequate anti-virus software to remove the deadly virus, the possibilities of its existence still remain. For complete removal of virus, you go ahead and format your hard drive. By the time you realize your mistake, it's too late to know that your photos and other files have been deleted.
Why do photos get deleted after formatting a hard disk?
A photograph is stored just like any other file is stored in sectors on the platters of the hard disk. The file system of the storage device enables the computer to use the storage space (sectors) and organize the data stored thereon.
When the hard disk is formatted, a new file system is set-up, thus preparing the platter to be used. When a used drive is re-formatted, almost all the data from the old file system is deleted. A new file system is then set-up in place of the old one. This new file system will seldom contain information from the old file system.
How to Recover Lost Photos?
For easy and systematic recovery of lost pictures, images, and other media file after hard drive formatting, a powerful Photo Recovery Software acts as a boon. The Photo Recovery tool is completely non-destructive in nature as it performs recovery without deleting or modifying the data stored on your formatted hard drive. The software comes with interactive user-documentation that makes it easy-to-understand and implement.
Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a Photo Recovery Software which can Recover Lost Photos. The tool can be used on both, Mac and Windows machines. It supports all multimedia file formats including; JPEG, TIFF, RAW, MOV, WMA, AVI, GIF, etc. The software is easy-to-use but extremely safe and efficient, allowing users to recover data themselves quickly, without the help of any 'expert'.

Resolve Memory Card Corruption due to sudden camera shut down
Storing pictures, videos, etc on a computer becomes problematic for camera lovers. It's not safe nor does it have the capacity to store all the pictures. This gives most users the notion that a memory card is the safest!
A simple instance of when a memory card gives trouble is while transferring pictures from the camera to the computer. The worst thing that can happen, is for the camera battery to run out, leading to the camera shutting down on it's own. When you recharge the battery and reconnect the camera, you get the message saying that the card is corrupt, leaving your photos inaccessible.
The camera writes pictures and videos to the memory card. When a camera shuts down while the data is being transferred to the computer, the memory card gets corrupted due to incomplete writing of the data.
At such times most people get disheartened and give up hope. They simply accept the fact that their pictures are lost and 'move on' to either reformat the old card or buy a new card. This fact that corrupted pictures cannot be recovered is again a wrong notion. This can easily be done by performing a card data recovery using a card recovery software. These software salvage card data by scanning the card's drive for information. This information is not really deleted (it's only marked as deleted) and so special tools can read it.
Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a reliable card recovery tool. This tool is powerful and scans and recovers pictures without causing any damage to them. It can salvage data from all sorts of memory cards; SD Cards, Flash Cards, etc. The software gives you a preview of the recoverable data.

Pulling out the SD Card from the computer

Secure Digital (SD) cards are Flash memory storage devices. They are widely used in all kinds of electronic media—computers, laptops, cameras, cell phones etc. The basic point is where there is technology, there are bound to be some technical mis-haps. Often small mistakes of ours (pulling out the card wrongly, accidentally formatting the card, etc), cause big problems. If you have a back-up at such times, you're spared the trauma of losing those pictures saved on the card. But when you don't have a back-up, or it's inaccessible, you tend to worry and get upset. At such times you should use an SD Card Recovery Software.
For example, when you remove the card from the camera, and then connect it to the computer to transfer photos. You see the content on your computer screen, then pull out the card presuming that the data has been transferred. Then you realize that the data was not transferred and try to re-connect the card to give it a second shot, but the pictures are not accessible now.
The photos are inaccessible because the card is corrupt. The reason for this is incomplete writing of the data from the memory card to the system. All hard drives have two principles on which data is transferred—Read and Write. The information is read from one disk and written onto the other. In this particular case, the data is read from the memory card and written to the computer hard disk. During this process, the card need to be connected to the system. Pulling out the card early breaks this process and thus your images are rendered lost.
This still doesn't mean your pictures are gone for good. You need to format the card to salvage your images. Formatting a used card means that all the data previously stored on it gets erased. After formatting the card, use a SD Card Recovery Software to perform a card recovery. This can be done by simply downloading the tool from the Internet, and then running it on the computer while the card is connected to it. These are utility software which have been designed for precisely this purpose. They scan the hard drive and retrieve all images from it. Once this is done, you can save them to a new folder or anywhere else you wish.
Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a card recovery tool which enables users to safely salvage data stored on their SD cards. The software gives thumbnail previews of the files which can be recovered, so you can select the one you want. It supports JPG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PNG etc.
